Culla d'Ombra Unique studio piece

The difference

Not a model in a colour.
A piece made for one person.

  1. 01

    Designed with you

A commission starts with your ideas, how you will carry the bag and what you love. There is no catalogue of models to pick from.

  2. 02

    Sculpted by hand

Every wooden part is shaped individually from solid hardwood. Wood is the structure and the expression of the piece, not a decoration on top of it.

  3. 03

    Made to be carried

Each bag is proportioned, balanced and lined to be light and comfortable in daily use. A sculpture that leaves the house with you.

Selected creations

Six silhouettes,
no two alike.

Studio pieces, each one-of-a-kind and available now. A commission can also begin from any of them.

The personal commission

From a conversation
to a piece that exists once.

  1. I

    Conversation

You tell us what you imagine: how you will use the bag, the shapes and colours you are drawn to, a size, a budget, a date.

  2. II

    Design

We explore what the wood and the construction allow and present a small set of considered directions. You choose and refine, in person or by video call.

  3. III

    Hand-sculpting

Once the design and quotation are agreed, every component is cut, shaped, joined, lined and finished by hand. You follow the progress through photographs and video calls, wherever you are.

  4. IV

    Completion

The finished piece is presented and shipped to you with care and aftercare guidance, to any country. It is yours, and it exists once.

Each commission receives its own quotation. Price depends on the design, the wood and the work it asks for. Terms are agreed before any sculpting begins.

How a commission works

Jewellery

Miniature sculptures,
kept in a drawer.

The artisan

Anthony Endean

British-born, Anthony works alone in his atelier in Snappertuna, Finland, where every Mojo piece is designed, sculpted and finished.

His bags begin as solid hardwood. He chooses each board for its figure, cuts and carves the form, shapes a handle that sits well in the hand, and brings the surface to a deep polish. Burl, stripe and colour are not applied to the piece. They are the piece.
